Tales of Raunchy Ancient Sex Peeping

Many of you are probably quite aware of my fascination with history in the past few years, and subsequently hate me for it. Regardless of this fact i shall not relent in my passion for revealing the stories i come accross in my personal study of various subjects of the historical realm.

Most recently i have been reading from the books of Herodotus, the father of history. More specifically Herodotus' first six books which account the history and foundation of the Persian Empire in the ancient world. These books also account for the history of various satrapies within the Persian Empire at the time of their foundation until the time of Herodotus himself. One of these regions is that of Lydia. Located in the western part of modern day Turkey, and at the time of the tale i am about to tell it encompassed the greater part of that region as well as the western (ionian) coastline.

How the Lydian empire came to be ruled by King Gyges is quite an amusing and perverted tale. That is why i tell it. In the hopes that some of you are still reading, i promise that it shant disappoint.

See, in the year 735BC, Lydia came to be ruled by Candaules. A descendant of 22 generations of kings from the Heraclid dynasty (that is men who claimed to be decended from Hercules) Candaules was a boaster. He was, in modern terms somewhat of a 'pimp'... as he believed his wife to be one of the fairest ladies in all the world. Candaules even went so far as to prove this to Gyges, his favorite bodyguard at the time by setting up a little peep show for him. Now Gyges, being an honorable gent, thought this to be a bad idea, but back in 700BC, questioning royalty was not really an option and Candaules constructed a plan in which Gyges would hide behind the bedroom door whilst his wife was changing and swiftly escape once her back was turned.

The plan went forth, but Gyges was not swift enough and the Queen spotted him exiting. Furious at her husband for allowing another man to spy on her naked, she summoned Gyges to her the next day and proclaimed that either her husband, the author of the plot or Gyges had to die. Gyges didn't want to make this decision, but in the end, did what any other guy would do, and decided to murder his best pal, Candaules the King. Devising a similar plot to the one in which he spied the queen naked, he hid behind the bedroom door and upon the kings entrance to his bedroom, he was stabbed to death by Gyges. Gyges then married the queen and ended the reign of the Heraclid dynasty which had ruled over Lydia for five hundred years.

Civil war thusly ravaged Lydia and Gyges was only appointed king after petitioning the Oracle at Delphi with an amount of gold that would fetch over 13 million dollars today. The oracle then proclaimed him the rightful ruler of Lydia but also claimed that his dynasty would fall in the fifth generation, during the rule of his 4th descendant Croesus.

So a peeping tom and a somewhat perverted and boastful king ended one of the most powerful dynasties in the ancient world. To me, it is a fascinating tale of the fragility of society, and hopefully you have enjoyed Herodotus' account of this empires history. This however was only the start of Lydia's misfortunes. The fall of Croesus is also discussed by Herodotus, and in my view it is an equally intriguing story filled with arrogance, irony, and humility... i shall not tell it yet. However I will preface that tale with a very important element of it and that element is the philosophical question posed in a conversation between Solon and the king Croesus.

That question, simply stated is "What man is happy?"

I believe myself to be, but as you will find out sometime in the future, i am not yet "Happy".

Content perhaps.

Ian

It's only wednesday!? what kind of shit is this.

huge smelly shit, thats what kind.

I'm grumpy again. see, i was fine last night after work, even after working until 3am because my boss asked me to do something at midnight. fuckity doo. But i just got like seven emails about shit im expected to do tonight tomorrow and the next day... BALLS IT NEVER ENDS.

This week, more than any other i have been contemplating returning to school. It's something im not sure i can afford, or is the best decision... but the frustration the film/television industry puts you through everyday just doesnt seem worth it. Mind you joe media is the best company in calgary to work for and i love everyone, but... even when you're in the eye of a hurricane... you're still stuck in a goddammed hurricane.

I think im mostly mad because im not getting to go to movies. There are a bunch of really super good ones out now but damn my night shift bullshit assmuch festival. Iwo Jima? Pans Labyrinth? The Good German? The Good Shepherd? I'm missing out on the fun times.

It's totally time to eat pasta.

krunk

im all ober it

Hi! last night i worked for alot of hours, i started at 2pm and left at 1am! This wasnt for anything awesome like the documentary i am working on, its a totally different project alltogether. A totally lame project. Good for me. this one.

When i got home i had a weird redness on my neck, like an irritation... not as hardcore as when Craig eats vietnamese but it was still weird. I think a ghost tried to strangle me... damn that Swayze.

I am totally going to work like crazy this week. I kind of like doing that to myself every once in a while, keeps my mind off the other stuff that bugs me if i think about outside of the office. Mind you, i still think about all that crap but its muted by thoughts of how to best portray a Corporate Investment firm in a really rushed video. THEY ARE BLOODTHIRSTY TYRANTS!! I can portray them like that too, most of it is green screen... if i have time i might just superimpose some images from war movies behind the guy talking about investing in the MD of Rockyview... would that be funny? what about Spartacus?

My current favorite article to read on the internet is this one.

despite the vastness of space, the starship enterprise seems to encounter unusual phenomenon on quite a regular basis... good news for me and you.

YESS AWESOME, ANCIENT GREEK GOD PLANET.

okay byeee!

ian

I think most of the anger is gone. MAAAD props to Tyler for a hilarious afternoon at market mall spent hating people and buying gifts.

I'm quite proud of myself. Perhaps when i am angry and extremely fatiged i am at my wittiest because when Tyler was purchasing a pair of cuban style slip on shoes tha were packaged in something that resembled a cigar box... i quickly inferred that this box would best be described as a "Shoemidor"...

i was quite displeased that i was the only one laughing aloud, though im not sure the dreadlocked teen sales associate 'got it'... a little to high brow for the burnout crowd i guess.

... Instead of being angry im just going to move to Toulouse.

im moving away... forever. To southern france. Between the Bay of Biscay and the Mediterranean. On the banks of the Garonne river. to live. nothing more.

if only it were that easy.

Writing Video... Estimated time: About 44 Minutes

Writing Video... Estimated time: About 44 Minutes
So i have all this time to just sit here and write? extended break i dont deserve.

I was doing a little bit of research into the UofC's history program the other day because i am seriously contemplating returning to studies in order to get some sort of degree in history and apply it to working in film/television... also it would help me focus my sparatic mind on specifics rather than everything all at once.

The problem with school as i see it is that it doesnt really satisfy that need of mind to learn everything all at once... and also i'dd have to take a bunch of terrible classes about Canadian history... there's no such thing as Canadian history, our constitution was written in 1982... basically, how i see it, we've only been a country since as long as i was alive. yawn factory. Maybe im just bitter because of primary schoolings saturation of Canadian historical learnings... how boring that stuff is...

anyways, it's just a thought... not certain of it yet... if i could manage school and work at the same time with relative ease i would be all over it, but the workload around the office pegs the chances of that around 3 - 7 percent.

What's everyone doing tonight? this weekend?

The way i see it, it's time to fuck shit up oldschool

Krunk

liberating batteries and chucking rocks at rapists.

So in this dream last night... i am in some sort of futuristic alleyway, like you would see in the movie Blade Runner, but it was set in the daytime. They Alleyway was wide enough for a series of trains that ran really fast through them past steep walls about 10 feet high with a ledge on them that i was walking across. I was with about three or four other guys, tough dudes, and it would turn out that this was my first day as a member of their gang, then one of em slapped me on the back and we jumped down off the wall onto a smaller part, guarded by some guys. Needless to say we started kicking their ass, well not me, i think it was my job to get the goods. With the frenzy happening around me i ran to another part of the ledge area and opened up a large bin. Inside the bin looked to be batteries, about the size of four car batteries, and i started to un-hook them right away and toss them down to the train area, which at the time this heist was started, was eerily vacant. After i had unhooked all the batteries, there were about four or five of them in total, i jumped down off the ledge where i had tossed the batteries and discovered a train was just leaving, i assumed that the batteries were on it.. since it was sorta the future i guess, the train shot off like a rocket, revealing behind it, one truant battery. I grabbed it up and started running after it... after a few seconds of running i was distracted by something happening up on the wall. I looked up at an area different from the one i had just jumped down from, this time the ledge was protected by a glass wall, and there was a small door leading back towards the area i had just come from. Out of this door a man came out, he was creepy looking and in his hand he dragged along a girl. It turns out that this guy was a rapist, and he had just had his way with this girl, whom i did not recognize. He was smirking, and yelling at me... i was furious. i dropped the large battery from my arms, picked up some rocks from my feet and started hurling them at the glass which surrounded this monster. The first rock hit the glass but stuck there, and every subsequent hurl either did the same or harmlessly bounced back in my direction. I could'nt contain my fury. I paced around for a minute until i realized i could reach him by going back to where i had jumped down from and helping myself up with the aid of jumping atop the battery i had just 'liberated'.

thats when i woke up.

yeah i know.... fucked eh?

Krunk

got me thinkin'

Hi Guys, turn your head if you dont want me to nerd all over your face but today i got even more rediculously nerdtacular. I woke up and figured, "hey, if i can download comedy routine podcasts, i might be able to find podcasts about stuff like world history!" holy shitfuck! i hit paydirt in 5 seconds!

Today i listened to an interesting podcast where the host compares Alexander the Great to Adolf Hitler. He raised a very interesting argument that if you take the legend of Alexander "The Great" away, then you see that he massacred hundreds of thousands of people, like in the razing of Thrace. Alexander pretty much wiped out all the indegenous tribes of Afghanistan in his campaign there, in his attempt to thwart a guerilla war, by killing everyone man woman and child. The host then posed the question "will history forget the massacres of Adolf Hitler?"....

I really dont think that history will.... mostly because Alexander was victorious and never lost a battle or campaign... Adolf hitlers regime was dismantled quickly, and condemned by the world immediately, while Alexanders expansion was gradually divided up following his death and the subsequent conquerors of the region (The Romans) revered him as a genius. So Listen PODCAST GUY Dan Carlin or whatever... Alexander the Great was pretty great in the sense that he and his father Philip II revolutionized tactical warfare. Regardless of what he was fighting for, every general of every army after 323 BC would've been stupid not to study how the Macedonians managed to continually defeat armies ten times their size or more. Alexander was also leading the charge of the dagger that would pierce through that decisive point of the enemy ranks with his companion cavalry. Thats where "The Great" comes from, not cause he was a nice guy, but because he was really good at what he was, which was a Soldier, a General, a Warlord and a Conqueror.

I think i've properly trumped that egghead... he's an awesome guy though because he and i share the same odd fascination with history and he is totally namedropping sources left and right which i will be looking up and reading for the next 10 years.

Oh man, I get the history channel next week... i think i just spilled mine seed in mine pants.

Find something you love to learn about people... thats all i have to say.

Krunk

Get to know the real Ian Day....

Many of you who read this dont know who i really am. Who i was 6 years ago was very different than the Ian you see before you today... Twyla, J-Net, Erin, Tim and regular readers of my blog, brace yourselves for a story that peers through a window looking into the Ian of the past.

This Ian was not ever cool. Not to say i am at all "cool" right now, but i think since i grew my hair out and got some style that i have begun to understand how to project an image of confidence in apperance and attitude. 6 years ago i didnt really understand any of that stuff, i was a frail being with about as much self confidence as an agoraphobic burn victim.

Today i had an experience that was both a humbling and reminiscent one...

Right after i visited megatunes, on my way to see Tyler Fraser for a lunch/thought session... 2000 Ian Day came back in all his clumsy/horrible glory. While crossing the 14th st. Bridge, my nose started to hemorage blood at an uncontrollable rate. See, whilst driving in your car, A MANUAL transmission, there is little you can do to prevent a disaster of epic proportions when something like this occurs. And my god was it ever a disaster... immediately i pulled my car into the closest parking lot, that of a small vietnamese restaurant, slouched my head over into the backseat and plugged the heck out of my nostrils. It was at this point i grabbed a black hoodie from the backseat and shoved it on my face... Blood wont show up on black... well it might if it's soaked in blood, and it was, but it isnt like me to drive around with a box of kleenex.

For 20 minutes i sat, head slouched down, blood soaked hoodie on my face... 2000 Ian Day was back, and for a few minutes i laughed a little bit. Only for a few minutes though cause when the blood wouldnt stop i got a little frustrated. Tyler had called to ask where i was... i told him the situation and he grabbed some kleenex and met me at my car...

It was rather awesome that Tyler's first words werent "Dude, you allright". Tyler really didnt have words... his actions said it all... and as he clicked photos with his camera phone i couldnt help but think what a perfect moment it was. And i am not being sarcastic... it was a perfect moment in making me realize how awesomely nerdy and clumsy i am... and how stuff like this just happens to me, theres nothing i can do... and nothing anyone can do... its just me.

We decided to eat at that very Vietnamese restaurant and it was pleasant... I think i will eat there again... not because the food was spectacular, or the prices were amazing, but because now it is stamped in my memory as the setting of one of my more infamous moments.

And there shall be more...

Cudos.

Krunk

Militarian Day

Last night was pretty cool, Hockey Game with team winner and brother Jeffy. I mean hockey is pretty fun to watch, but i dont really follow hockey or anything, and i cant really get into sports on the level of the other 18 thousand people at the saddledome.

Like when i hear some fans screaming "FUCKING KILL HIMMMM" when there was a check or something... i think thats being a little to into sports. And Hockey is an odd sport... the only professional team sport where fighting and violence is celebrated rather than looked down upon. It's crazy when you think about it... i sorta wish North American Hockey was more like European hockey where speed and finesse are celebrated rather than toughness and fightability... some might call me a pussy but if you look at the results of the most recent international tournament you might realize that it is necessary to evolve the game in this way.

After the hockey game i went to the drum for a few minutes to chat it up with Twyla, Chris Potter and Pisha. Twyla was awesome bashfull, Chris was awesome hardcore and Pisha was awesome adorable. I feel bad when i talk to Pisha because i should be able to talk to her about Godard and Obscure independant/european movies but i cant. I have to study more so that Pisha and i can have deeper conversations.

Today at lunch with Tyler we discussed the following things;

- Comedians
- Chicken Wings
- Baseball
- Wiping your ass
- The Calgary VJ search girl who i am certain was sitting in the booth next to us.

G'damn why am i so tired right now? i got plenty of sleep last night...

After lunch with with Tyler i had about 15 minutes before work so i went to Crown Surplus and bought a new Jacket and a new Sweater. The sweater is a little ichy but it really looks nice... and the jacket is just damn awesome, springtime has sprung and i am super ready to look good.

Last night was weird when i was trying to get to sleep... i started to think about my heart beating because i could hear it through the matress. Then i began to picture my heart inside my chest, CSI style... it was all dark and pulsating... thats when i started to think about how much my heart has to beat in my lifetime... and i began to think about my mortality because the human body is such a fragile thing... that was about the time i picture my aorta bursting within me and blood filling my chest cavity...

perhaps this is the reason i didnt get much sleep last night...

Krunk

Chinaman is not the prefered nomenclature dude.

So i am moving out of my place. My roomate has not seen The Big Lebowski... right now i am making her watch it but she is also doing homework and really, The Dude deserves your full attention.

I am eating cereal right out of the box. Honey Nut Cheerios, boy that honey bee looks like a happy dude, i dont know why... we stole all his honey and stuck it on this delcious whole grain oats... maybe he's retarded.

It's 8 hours before we start shooting my movie...

If it's funny enough in the end i might have enough confidence to develop a comedy routine ... one that doesnt involve playing the naked banjo. I will tell really edgy jokes about how i am scared of vaginas and how good i am at not depicting the prophet Mohammed. Also about how i have no real fuel for a good comedic routine... most really funny comedians have an edgy upbringing like they were molested by their parents or they were beaten by the cops for being a different race or something and now they can totally laugh about it... and we can laugh with them because we paid to get in the bar.

Krunk

i need an edge like that.

17 Times...

18 no 18 times have i sneezed since i woke up. Im not getting sick, im coming down from it... i dont get sick. I am very lethargic today... i dont want to do anything until i have to go to work. Right now i am watching more of the World at War. I am right at the part where Hitler was stupid and didn't carry through with Sea Lion... well, i guess he wasnt "Stupid" but the Luftwaffe got their asses handed to them and the Brittish succeeded in breaking one of the major spears of the German advance.

HOLY WOW, the footage in this is AMAZING! There is a snarky brittish news reporter commentating on a dogfight off the shores of dover with some really awesome news reel playing. I am absolutely giddy.

Do you all realize how much you owe to the invention of Radar? Not the character from MASH... allthough he was pretty cool, but the actual Radar innovation during WW2. You owe it alot. There should be a national Radar day... or two of them... one for the adorable Gary Burghoff and one for the system used to detect stuff at a distance using radio waves.

19 times. wow!

I need lunch... i think i have pizza left, that might be all right. It is cold in this room of mine. Random thoughts dont make for good blogs eh??

When i think of something dandy i shall let you all know, until then, have a splendid day my friends.

Krunk

4...7...13...14...21... fuck you.

FRIIIIDAAAAAAY!

Fuckin' Tonight i went for dinner at the Keg with some family, man it was mega dope dude, Honey BBQ chicken & Ribs? fuck hells yes. Aunt Bea was in town from Halifax, shes pretty awesome cause she has a thick cape bretton accent and uses it to its full awesome potential. We talked about psychics and basically i am a skeptic about the whole thing and everyone else was ... hmm... mildly retarded about the whole thing.. it was fun. Apperently my second cousin (who was also at dinner with us) Won a trip to Mexico from Jack FM. He did that whole "they call you and you have to say 'Jack FM totally rules'" and then you win garbage... its kinda lame but hey, trip to mexico.

Radio sucks!

THEN i went to Frank Sissons for some bowlin' and some gamblin'. That was pretty cooo.

Who is Frank Sisson? I think he should have to sit in a giant throne in the middle of that place and shout directions at people... maybe have some rot weilers chained to the base of the chair that bark at people as they gamble/bowl. That way you would definetly know who is taking your money, and you would have a face to hate after bowling shitty or getting your ass served to you on the blackjack table.

He took my ten bucks thats for sure... and i dont have a face to hate right now ... so pretty much the blame rests on me... and i will leave you now to stare at myself in the mirror while cutting my face for losing ten dollars at the blackjack table.

Seriously, how is it possible for the dealer to hit 21 on 7 of 10 rounds?

DAMN YOU FRANK SISSON.

Krunk

I am a super guy.

Hey everyone.

Last weekend was pretty darn fun. I guess i made the best of the family day weekend by watching my friends get loaded and playing/WINNING trivial pursuit with Erin/Twyla/J-Net/OTHERS.... Also there were shows, the fake cops were a delight, as were what Jimmy James refered to as "Diego Medina and the Gay Computers"...

You will be pleased to know that i ate well, and didn't even lash out at anyone in an act of extreme violence once.

There are TOOO many birthdays this week... you people conveniently came to life during reading week. Well, thats convenient for those who are in school, but im afraid that it shall be hard for me to celebrate everyones birth because, there is no reading week at joe Media. Rest assured that i am glad you were not aborted.

This does not mean i shall miss out on prom date. Weekends are a different story.

Today at work i had a personalized meeting with my boss...es. I was told that i am doing a good job. I asked if i was going to get a business card someday. Apparently i AM, so it will be easier for me to pick up hot chicks and look important. This is a big day. I am a big DAY! That was a tad GAY.

So, this weekend i also got a very promising lead on a location for my short film. Shooting will take place March 4th and 5th (weather permitting) if you or anyone you know is interested in appearing in it as an extra, we probably still have room. Also, if i have spoken to you about this before, be sure that you can do it on those days.

Well i would hate to end a very nice blog all business like...

I am not a monster for laughing when the Austrialian Aerials girl broke her leg and started screaming in pain. She should have known that you cant come back from knee surgery after only seven months. Not everyone can live out the miracle comeback story. Also, it reminded me of that part from the Simpsons flashback episode.

Krunk

Suit, Jack it...

Guys... i had a good lunch today. Met up with the old school gang at Moxies for a clubhouse sandwich.. ( and im not even a member ) PROPS TO HEDBERG... but seriously guys, i had some good conversation, at which point Felix reminded me of a funny part of a South Park episode and i spit some partly chewed french fry right on his god damned hand. I'm pretty sure the posh chick with the huge fake tits across from our booth wasnt impressed, but i wasnt impressed with her choice of man, ( goatee, seriously dude..?) i guess she doesnt have to look at his face when he's dunkin the tea-bags! (she was totally that kind of chick)

After lunch i got my new suit from Scott... someone remind me that i have to do him a huge maybe sexual favor because he let me walk away with it for free... This is like that episode of seinfeld! I hope there is a hot babes number in the pocket!

Then i went to work and it was pretty much a boring night because everything was really really really time consuming on the MACHINES, but not on the personell... you really have to KNOW what i do to get that. Can i go three paragraphs in a row mentioning a totally awesome TV show? No i cannot.

This weekend i have just 1 plan... shoot the first part of a short film... aaaand i am fucked.

I am leaving now, you might as well kill yourselves until my next entry.

Krunk

Its 3am and i am super hyper. Just watched some UCB with J-Net and that was all right... i especially liked the sketch about the ass pennies... but who wouldnt really?

Hey, if you read this blog in the past day and told your friends about it, you probably misinterpreted one particular piece of information and kinda put me on the spot... but thats okay cause everything will collapse in on me eventually, its better sooner than later.

Wow that was vague, but i am really pissed off at the internet right now... i thought about committing MySUICIDE this afternoon, but instead i just posted that picture of the scary looking Wehrmacht soldier as a testament to my mood with the interweb. (Wehrmact soldier only present in the myspace version of this entry... the rest of you got a scary looking GI)

I am in love with fantasy. I'll call you when i come back down to earth.

Krunk

See Twyla, my name fits into a Valentines day play on words too, isnt that fun?

AAAANNNY ways... since its valentines day i have to wait a few days before i tell someone i dont really want to date them... and only because of some arbitrary holiday? Now how is that fair on me?

I think that love is really over-rated in todays society... I mean there is this whole holiday devoted to it and i am pretty sure that scientifically, it doesnt exist. There really need to be holidays devoted to things like sarcasm. National Sarcasm Day... Then again if you were to establish a sarcasm day and people were to ask you, "Hey is it Sarcasm Day today?" the reply would most likely be "Yeeeeaaaaaah, its Sarcasm Day.... idiot" all sarcastic like, and no one would be certain if it actually WAS sarcasm day that day.

That was pretty much the downfall of my "Be a jerk for no reason" day...

Oh well.

Krunk

I cant believe i missed Stella tonight... i mean, what if it was that one episode i havent seen yet! I would be crushed... litterally, my bones would crush themselves... im srrrious.

Today was BUuuuunnnnk, Broken Social Scene is on Conan right now and guess what? They suck times infinity.

Roomate J-Net and i have a suicide pact 2006! What an exclusive club... we will be raffling off all of our possessions and handing out a questionaire about which way to off ourselves. I am all for the exploding myself scenario, Jihad style, i think my Jihad is on Scientology, so i will try to take out Cruise and Holmes for y'all, booyeah!

WOW, imagine if i got on TV by exploding Tom Cruise! That would be "RISKY BUSINESS"

JUST TAKE THOSE OLD RECORDS OFF THE SHELF!!!!

OH MAN, so tommorow i have plans, or do i? im not even sure. Regardless, im probably not going to Broken City because, well i just plain dont want to. It's been like 16 GATRILLION weeks in a row. more like WEAKS in a row... eff yes.

Im getting my haircut sometime this week, i am also shaving my beard... I am going back to being nineteen... therefore i am tucking my testicles back into my taint and not using my penis anymore... just like back when i was 19!

Krunk

Three Eh Em

Hey dudez!

Today was pretty much a perfect work day. I woke up at about 12 noon and listened to Ricky Gervais podcasts for about the 3rd consecutive time while doing some captions lists from the comfort of my living room. After that was done i made my way down to Joe Media and started my real shift, There was alot on the white board ( the board that tells me what i need to do, and when i need to have it done by ) but after doing the shit out of all of it, i managed to come home at the happy time of 3:00am. I even managed to watch the Colbert report while working, and maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan that was something.

It might sound like i am being sarcastic but I'm totally not... I just realized that i forgot to add something to the captions list i was doing first thing today, and email it to Craig. I think its weird how the thing i started on FIRST THING today is the only thing i did'nt get done, while everything in between is so effing done i could eat it.

At dinner i realized that BAKING those mini pizzas makes them taste way better than in the microwave. I would say about 10 times better. BUUUT, on the other hand, BAKING them does take about 10 times longer. IS THE TRADE OFF WORTH IT!? OH MAN!? THIS IS THE BIGGEST DILLEMMA OF MY ENTIRE LIFE!

Oh and that girlfriend application i posted as a bulletin on myspace only got one response, but it was pretty much the exact response i wanted.

Whenever i get off of work at 3am from a building on the edge of Victoria park, i often see a car drive down 10th ave with one lonely male occupant and i think; "That guy is either a night shift worker like me, or he on his way to pay for some sweet hooker poontang"...

I think thats an allright thing to think of when brushing the snow off your car in the middle of the night.

frontovik.

Microwave Generation

I just got home from pulling a 8 hour shift on a Sunday. It wasnt a hard shift, i mostly watched TV as i performed my tasks, there were a few people in the office as well... including my boss, who always seems to be there. I woke up today in a defeated mood. At 11:00, while i was sleeping, Hussein called and asked about meeting for our production. Since i didnt get home until 4:30am i really didnt think i could make it at 12:00... They met without me, and i am sure it went fine... but i am sorta spearheading this whole endeavor. I feel like i really "let the team down", but really i am the only member of the team that works 50 hours a week. It's really tough thinking that you are letting people down when your efforts are streched to their max.

I had my skates sharpened last night so i could play hockey with some people this evening, but i opted to stay at work instead. Before i came home i stopped at one of the parks in my neighborhood where they have a skating area. It was 8:00 at night, and there was pretty much no one around... I guess i also opted out of hockey because it's been about a year and a half since i played in that shinny hockey league and i wanted to make sure my legs were still ice worthy. It was really calming skating around in the dark of the night with no one around. I realized that i still can get around quite well, but not for very long... I believe i am a tad out of shape, but, i should've expected that given the amount of exercise i get.

For the 45 minutes i skated around, i really didnt think about anything... thats what i needed. I needed to clear my head, but since i put my shoes back on and came home, it's started to fill up again. Maybe i should get some sleep.

frontovik.

IT's FRRIIIIIDDAAAY NIGHT!

To understand the subject title of this blog you have to have watched the Stella episode it refers to! Jerks!

HA!

Anywaaaays. First of all mad props to J-Net for hooking me up with the Ricky Gervais podcast last night, twas a good laugh indeed. I need to find out how to get old podcasts... cause there are 6 other episodes i cant aquire and that is just WRONG. I HATE YOU INTERNET!

Oh wait, i just found them on limewire... i love you internet!

So... thats done...

Did anyone see Broadbent totally mouthfuck the liberals on TV today? That was awesome! Well i thought it was. Regardless, politics in Canada is pointless. Can you really think of the last time any decision in parliment has changed your life significantly? I cant. So no matter who wins this cockfest, its not like anything will change.

NEXT!

I like chocolate milk!

NEXT!

Last night i found The Maharajas music on their website! They are super rad! Eat that!

NEXT!

Tonight may or may not be a work gathering! So tell me what your doing if my plans fall through!

! Exclaimation points !

frontovik

Down with Dark Denim

Day 2 of sweet pants! Yeah!

Oh hey everyone. Yesterday was great because i got alot of work done. Doug was being a little bit of a douchebag, but whatever. After that i went to Broken City and there were a few awesome people there but not as many as there usually are... i guess those are the consequences of arriving after midnight, but i dont have to pay.

I have no foooood at my house, i am going to go get groceries right away and on the way home some kind of delicious sandwich from a purveyor of fine foods.

J-Net says that i have been practicing guitar alot lately. Which is weird cause i still totally suck... i need a magic lightning bolt to strike it and then i will magically have all the powers of an Axe Master. I guess i dont really need to be that good...

I'm listening to Weezer.

frontovik.
